How do we know Christ is worthy to open the seals?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's worthiness is established through His sacrificial death and resurrection, fulfilling God's redemptive plan.

In Revelation 5, the question is raised, 'Who is worthy to open the book?' and despite a search throughout heaven and earth, no one is found worthy except Jesus Christ. His worthiness is intrinsically linked to His status as the Lamb who was slain. It is through His death that He conquered sin and death, thus gaining the authority to unlock the future events foretold in the book. This theological truth reinforces the belief that only through Christ's sacrifice can humanity be redeemed, affirming His unique and unparalleled position as our Savior.
