How do we know Christ's atoning sacrifice is sufficient?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is sufficient because He bore the full penalty for sin and made complete restitution to God's justice.

Christ’s atoning sacrifice is deemed sufficient because He was both fully God and fully man, uniquely able to bear the penalty for our sins. His death was the ultimate penal sacrifice that satisfied divine justice, as prophesied in Isaiah 53:6, where the iniquities of all were laid upon Him. Because He lived a perfect life fulfilling the law and then took on our sins, His substitutionary sacrifice means that full restitution has been made, allowing us to be declared innocent through faith in Him. This is further affirmed by His resurrection, which demonstrates the acceptance of His sacrifice by God.
