How do we know Christ's authority to heal is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's authority to heal is proven by His miracles and fulfilling of prophecies in the Scripture.

The account of Jesus healing the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5 highlights His divine authority. Jesus did not need to physically go to the man to heal him; He simply spoke the word, and the man was made whole. This reflects His sovereign authority over sickness and sin, distinguishing Him from the religious systems of the day that sought to bind and control. Moreover, His miracles are in harmony with the prophecies of the Old Testament which foretold that the Messiah would perform healing and redemption, demonstrating that His authority is not self-proclaimed but rooted in divine truth.
