How do we know Christ’s dual nature as God and man is true?

Answered in 1 source

The Scriptures assert Christ's dual nature, stating He is both fully God and fully man, essential for our salvation.

The mystery of Christ's dual nature is foundational to Christian doctrine. Paul affirms this in 1 Timothy 3:16, where he states, 'God was manifest in the flesh.' This truth is crucial because, for humanity to be redeemed, the Redeemer had to be both divine and human. He had to be a man to fully represent mankind and to bear the burden of sin while being God to ensure the efficacy of His sacrifice. In Matthew 26, we see Christ's human emotions and suffering, yet His divine authority shines through His control over the circumstances of His Passion. The fleshly aspects of His nature allowed Him to empathize with us in our suffering, fulfilling the role of our compassionate High Priest.
