How do we know Christ's finished work is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's finished work is validated by His resurrection and the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.

We can trust in the reality of Christ's finished work based on the testimony of Scripture and the historicity of His resurrection. Micah 5:2 prophesies that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem, which is confirmed in the New Testament accounts of Christ's birth. Furthermore, the resurrection of Christ serves as a pivotal event that affirms His claims and the success of His redemptive work. As stated in Matthew 1:21, He came to 'save His people from their sins.' This assurance from the fulfilled prophecies and the empty tomb reinforces our confidence that His work accomplished what was foretold—our salvation. Thus, we rest in the certainty that He completed His mission as the Messiah.
