How do we know Christ’s humanity is important for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's humanity is essential for salvation because He needed to be our representative and substitute.

The humanity of Christ is crucial because, in order to represent His people and fulfill the demands of the Law, He had to assume our nature. As emphasized in the sermon, if Christ were not fully man, He could not adequately substitute for us in His sacrificial death. This is illustrated by the Ark of the Covenant, constructed from incorruptible wood, representing His sinless human nature. If He were not truly a man, our salvation would be unattainable, as a divine-only Savior could not bear our sins or represent us before God.
