How do we know Christ's intercession is effectual?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's intercession is effectual because it accomplishes the intended purpose of securing forgiveness and acceptance with God.

The effectiveness of Christ's intercession is rooted in His unique position as our High Priest who made a single, perfect sacrifice for sin. In Zechariah 3, we see the accuser, Satan, attempting to condemn Joshua, but Christ rebukes the accuser, highlighting His authoritative role as our advocate. The truth that He ever lives to intercede ensures that those He represents will not be condemned. Romans 8:34 reinforces this by asking, 'Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.' This guarantees that all His efforts are successful and lead to our salvation.
