How do we know Christ's mercy is sufficient for sinners?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's mercy is shown in how He responds to guilty sinners, offering forgiveness and freedom from condemnation (John 8:10-11).

In the account of the woman caught in adultery, we see Jesus embodying mercy in His response: 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more' (John 8:11). This passage illustrates that while sin is condemned by the law, Christ offers grace to the repentant. He provides a way for true freedom and restoration, demonstrating that His sacrifice pays the penalty for our transgressions. The assurance of no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1) reflects the depth of His mercy. This mercy is sufficient for all who turn to Him in faith and humility, recognizing their guilt and desperate need for grace.
