Christ's peace is genuine because it is anchored in His victory over sin and death, offering us lasting reassurance (John 14:27).
The genuineness of Christ's peace is evidenced by the authority with which He speaks and the work He has accomplished. In John 14:27, Jesus states, 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.' Unlike worldly peace, which is fleeting and often dependent on circumstances, Christ's peace is lasting because it originates from His triumphant overcoming of sin, death, and the grave. It reassures believers that despite their struggles and tribulations, they are rooted in Christ’s victory and are part of His reconciled relationship with God. With this knowledge, believers experience a profound sense of peace that the world cannot provide.
