How do we know Christ's promises are better?

Answered in 1 source

We know Christ's promises are better because they are established upon His unchanging nature and perfect fulfillment of God's law.

The promises of the new covenant are better because they originate from Christ, who is both God and man and whose ministry surpasses that of the old covenant. Unlike the old covenant, which was marked by human weakness and disobedience, Christ's covenant assures us of mercy, forgiveness, and a new relationship with God. In Hebrews 8:10-12, we see five specific promises illustrating how God will write His laws in our hearts, be our God, and remember our sins no more. These promises are unconditioned by our obedience, and instead, they rely solely on Christ's righteousness and atoning sacrifice, demonstrating the completeness and perfection of His work for us.
