How do we know Christ's righteousness is important?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's righteousness is essential as it is the only righteousness by which we can stand before God, according to His justice.

The importance of Christ's righteousness lies in the doctrine of justification by faith. Believers have no righteousness of their own to present before a holy God. Yet, through faith in Christ, His perfect righteousness is imputed to us, making us acceptable in God's sight. Romans 8:1 emphasizes that there is 'no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' This righteousness cleanses us from all sins, allowing us to stand before God without fear of judgment, as noted in Isaiah 44:22, where God promises to blot out our transgressions.
