How do we know Christ's sacrifice cleanses our conscience?

In Hebrews 9:14, the text emphasizes that the blood of Christ, offered through the eternal Spirit, is able to purge our conscience from dead works. This notion highlights that while the sacrifices under the Old Covenant were insufficient to cleanse the conscience, Christ’s sacrificial death is sufficient because it satisfies God's justice regarding sin. When a believer understands that their guilt has been dealt with through Christ's atoning sacrifice, they find peace and a cleansed conscience. It is this understanding, revealed by the Holy Spirit, that enables a believer to live free from guilt and in assurance of God’s acceptance.
