How do we know Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for our guilt?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is sufficient as it is a perfect offering that removes guilt and does not require repetition.

The sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice is evidenced in Hebrews 10:14, which states that He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. This means that, upon believing, a person's relationship with God is permanently changed because their guilt is removed once and for all. Unlike the repeated sacrifices of the Old Covenant which could not purge the conscience (Hebrews 10:1-4), the sacrifice of Christ was made once and is effective eternally. God will not remember the sins of those He has redeemed (Hebrews 10:17), leading to a clear conscience free from accusations.
