How do we know Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for our sin?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's sacrifice is sufficient because it fulfills the requirement for atonement, eliminating the need for continuous offerings for sin.

The sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice is highlighted in Hebrews 10:12, where we learn that He offered one sacrifice for sins forever and then sat down at the right hand of God. This contrasts sharply with the Old Testament sacrificial system, where priests repeatedly sacrificed animals that could never fully atone for sin. Christ's single, perfect sacrifice accomplished what all previous sacrifices could not: it perfected forever those who are sanctified. Therefore, believing in His atonement means we no longer carry the burden of sin, as God will remember them no more (Hebrews 8:12).
