How do we know Christ's sacrifice on the cross is sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice is affirmed by His fulfillment of the covenant of grace, as seen in Hebrews 13:20.

We know Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for salvation primarily because it fulfills the covenant of grace established by God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Hebrews 13:20 refers to the blood of Christ as the blood that ratifies this everlasting covenant. By His death and resurrection, Christ accomplished what no human effort could and secured for the elect a definitive reconciliation with God. This means that salvation is not a matter of what we can do but entirely rests upon what Christ has already done through His atoning sacrifice, thus providing peace and assurance for all who believe.
