How do we know Christ's sacrifice replaced the Old Testament sacrifices?

The daily offerings commanded in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ, who is described as the Lamb of God 'slain from the foundation of the world.' Hebrews 10:10 states that Christ's sacrifice once for all has perfected those who are being sanctified. This signifies that the continual sacrifices of lambs were pointers to the ultimate sacrifice Jesus would make. The author of Hebrews illustrates that the Old Covenant was rendered obsolete through the establishment of the New Covenant in Christ's blood, which provides complete and eternal redemption. Thus, the daily practices ceased because they served their purpose as shadows of the reality found in Christ.
