How do we know Christ's sacrifice was foreordained?

The sacrifice of Christ is not a random event but was foreordained by God. Revelation 13:8 refers to Christ as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, denoting that God's plan for redemption was established before creation itself. This foreknowledge assures us that God is sovereign in His plan for saving a people for Himself, as articulated in 1 Peter 1:20. The prophets and faithful men of old, such as Noah, were instruments through which this redemptive purpose was proclaimed, long before Christ’s actual coming in the flesh. Understanding this sovereignty in God’s redemptive plan reinforces our faith, as it exemplifies His control over history and His promise of salvation.
