How do we know Christ saves us from hell?

Answered in 1 source

Christ saves His people from hell by bearing the punishment of their sins on the cross.

The doctrine of substitutionary atonement is central to Reformed theology, affirming that Christ bore the separation and punishment meant for His people. As stated in the sermon, 'Christ Jesus saves His people from the separation of hell because he bore that separation himself in their place on the cross.' On the cross, He satisfied eternal justice by enduring the second death and the pain of being forsaken by God for the sins of His people. This means that those who believe in Christ are justified from all things and will never face the eternal destruction that is hell.
