How do we know confession of faith is true?

Answered in 1 source

True confession of faith is shown through both words and actions that glorify Christ.

The validity of a confession of faith is determined by both verbal affirmation and the corresponding actions that reflect one’s belief. As Jesus commands in Luke 12:8-9, confessing Him holds great significance beyond mere words; our lives should align with our proclamation. The Apostle Paul emphasizes this connection in Romans 10:10, stating, 'For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.' Therefore, true faith manifests itself in a life that seeks to honor God, complements our spoken confession with acts of obedience and devotion, and desires opportunities to testify of Christ.
