How do we know contentment is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Contentment is evidenced by the Apostle Paul's ability to find peace in all situations, demonstrated throughout his life despite facing trials.

In exploring the truth of contentment, we look to the life of the Apostle Paul, who states in Philippians 4:11 that he has learned to be content in every situation. His experiences range from wealth to poverty, yet he attributes his ability to remain steadfast to his faith in Christ and the knowledge that his true citizenship is in heaven. This spiritual perspective enabled Paul to view both trials and blessings as opportunities to glorify God. Thus, the reality of contentment is anchored in the believer's relationship with Christ and the recognition of His sovereignty over one’s life.
