How do we know death is gain for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Death is gain for believers because it means entering into eternal life with Christ.

The Apostle Paul assures us that for the believer, death translates to gain, as reflected in Philippians 1:21. When a believer dies, they cease to experience sin, sorrow, and death itself, and are welcomed into the presence of Christ. The gain is both immediate—receiving a glorified body and experiencing eternal joy—and ultimate, as believers gain the fullness of life in Christ. This new state frees us from the struggles and limitations of our earthly existence.
