How do we know divine sovereignty is true?

Answered in 8 sources

Divine sovereignty is evidenced throughout Scripture, revealing that God orchestrates all events for His glory and the good of His people.

The healing of the blind man in John 9 demonstrates divine sovereignty in action. The man did not seek after Christ; rather, Jesus intentionally passed by him, showing that God acts purposefully in our lives, even when we are unaware of our need for Him. The afflictions we endure, including spiritual blindness, are part of God's sovereign plan for our lives, designed to bring glory to Him and ultimately work for our eternal good. Recognizing that all things, including our salvation, are under God's sovereign control is a foundational aspect of Reformed theology and assures us of His perfect will being accomplished.
