The security of eternal life comes from the unassailable nature of God's promises and the relationship established through Christ. In John 10:28, Jesus states that no one can pluck His sheep from His hand, emphasizing the security of the believer in Him. This eternal life flows from an eternal union with Christ, which began before the foundation of the world. As such, the inner man, who possesses this eternal life, cannot perish or be lost, as it is sustained by the very life of God.
