How do we know faith alone is the condition for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible clearly states that faith is the necessary condition for receiving salvation, particularly illustrated in Luke 7:50.

Faith is emphasized in Scripture as essential for salvation. In Luke 7:50, Jesus says to the woman, 'Your faith has saved you; go in peace,' highlighting that faith, while not the act that saves us, is the means through which we receive grace and salvation. Romans 4:16 further supports this doctrine: 'Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed.' This indicates that while Christ's sacrifice provides salvation, it is our faith that receives it.
