How do we know God can do the impossible?

Answered in 1 source

God's past actions, particularly in creation and salvation, demonstrate that He can do what is seemingly impossible.

The capacity of God to do the impossible is evidenced by His creative acts and redemptive work. For instance, in creation, God brought the universe into existence from nothing, a power that no human can comprehend or replicate. Furthermore, the salvation of His people is seen as a miraculous act, where one who was once dead in sin is made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:1). This is elaborately illustrated in Hebrews 11:11, where Sarah's faith in receiving strength to conceive at an old age demonstrates that God's promise and ability transcends human limitations. Thus, the Bible showcases instances where God operates outside of our understanding to accomplish His will.
