How do we know God cannot lie?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible affirms that God cannot lie, as stated in Titus 1:2, where it says He promised eternal life before the foundation of the world.

Titus 1:2 assures us that 'God, who cannot lie, promised eternal life before the foundation of the world.' This attribute of God being incapable of lying gives us immense comfort and assurance in His promises. Unlike humans, who are often prone to deception, God is immutable and dependent solely on His truthfulness. Thus, when God proclaims something in His Word, it is a guarantee that cannot be broken, serving as a firm foundation for our faith and hope in Christ.
