How do we know God cares for the humble?

Answered in 1 source

God shows His care for the humble by looking upon those who are poor in spirit and contrite (Isaiah 66:2).

God's care for the humble is beautifully captured in Isaiah 66:2, where He states, 'To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.' This highlights that God does not regard external status or wealth but focuses on an individual’s heart posture. Such humility is exemplified in Christ, the ultimate 'man' who was poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3). Therefore, God's grace meets us at the point of our humility, transforming our hearts and granting us acceptance before Him.
