How do we know God cares for us in our trials?

Answered in 2 sources

God's care is evidenced in His gentle discipline and His presence during our trials.

Assurance of God's care during our trials can be found in His gentle dealings with us. Isaiah 40:11 shows that just as a shepherd leads gently, God leads us through our challenges with tenderness. His discipline is likened to that of a loving Father, designed for our growth rather than for punishment. God understands our weaknesses and constraints, promising to carry those who are unable to walk and to bring us through trials with grace.

Furthermore, we see in Psalm 4:8 that His watchful eye keeps us safe, allowing us to rest peacefully even in tumultuous times. God's care is evidenced in the gentle strokes of His rod, ensuring that the hardships we face are never more than what we can bear. In every trial, we can trust that God is not only present but is actively working to bring forth our good and His glory, making our burdens lighter as He guides us along the way.
