How do we know God comforts us?

Answered in 4 sources

We know God comforts us through His Word and our personal experiences in trials, as He promises to be with us during difficulties (Isaiah 43:2).

The assurance of God's comfort comes from both His Word and our personal experiences. Scripture tells us in Isaiah 43:2 that when we pass through the waters and fires of life, God is with us. This promise highlights His active presence in our struggles. Additionally, many believers can testify to moments when they felt God's comfort in their times of need. The experiential aspect of faith, wherein we encounter God in our trials, reinforces the truth that He indeed comforts His people.
