How do we know God controls everything?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty is evident throughout scripture, exemplified by His control over events, including Satan's limitations, as seen in Job 1:12.

The doctrine of God's sovereignty signifies that He is in complete control of all creation and events within it. Evidence of this can be found in numerous passages throughout scripture. For example, in Job 1:12, God permits Satan to test Job, illustrating that even the adversary's actions are subject to God's divine permission and limits. This teaches us that while Satan may attempt to hinder believers or thwart God's plans, he operates within the ordained boundaries set by God. Romans 8:28 reassures us that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Understanding God's sovereignty not only comforts believers but also invites us to trust in His sovereign plan during life's uncertainties.
