We know God delivers us from death through His past mercies and the work of Christ.
The doctrine of deliverance from death is assured by examining God's faithfulness as outlined in scripture. David proclaims in Psalm 56 that because God has already delivered his soul from death, he can trust that God will keep his feet from falling. The understanding of death encompasses spiritual, natural, and eternal deaths, all of which believers have been rescued from by God's grace. Romans 5:12 describes how sin brought death into the world, but God's rich mercy provides life to some, demonstrating His sovereignty and grace. By reflecting on His past deliverances, believers can have confidence that God will continue to uphold them in their trials.
