How do we know God directs our paths?

Answered in 4 sources

God's direction in our lives is evident through His providence, His Word, and through prayer as we seek His guidance (Proverbs 3:6).

We can be assured that God directs our paths through several means. First, His providence orchestrates the events of our lives in accordance with His purpose, as stated in Proverbs 3:6, 'He shall direct thy paths.' Second, the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts through His Word, providing internal affirmation and clarity as we seek to follow Him. Third, God encourages us to pray, placing our needs and concerns before Him, which aligns us with His will. Philippians 4:6 underscores the importance of seeking God in prayer, promising that when we present our requests to Him, He will respond in accordance with His perfect plan.
