How do we know God empowers us for His mission?

Answered in 1 source

Through God's word, we see evidence of His promise to empower those He sends on His mission.

The assurance of God's empowerment is found in the promises He makes to His servants, as demonstrated in Gideon's experience. In Judges 6:16, God assures Gideon, 'Surely I will be with thee; and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.' This promise reflects a broader biblical truth: whenever God calls a person to fulfill His purpose, He accompanies them with His presence and power. The foundation of our confidence comes not from our abilities or faith but from the certainty of God's covenant faithfulness. Furthermore, in 2 Corinthians 3:5, Paul reminds us that our sufficiency is from God, reinforcing that He equips us with what we need to accomplish His will.
