How do we know God favors us?

God's favor towards His people is evident through His grace in not allowing sin to have the ultimate victory over them. In Psalm 41:11, it says, 'By this I know that thou favorest me, because mine enemy does not triumph over me.' For believers, this assurance comes from Christ’s redemptive work. When we look to Jesus for salvation, we are assured that our sins are paid for, and thus, we are not subject to eternal condemnation. The work of Christ secures for us victory over sin and death, showing God's grace and favor in our lives.
