How do we know God has given us great promises?

Answered in 1 source

God's promises are rooted in Scripture, particularly in His covenant and the assurance of salvation.

In 2 Peter 1:4, we learn that God has given us 'exceeding great and precious promises.' These promises are not temporary or fleeting but are designed for our eternal benefit. They assure us of salvation, endurance through trials, and ultimately, eternal life with Christ. As believers, we are encouraged to cling to these promises amidst a tumultuous world that seems to challenge our faith. The preciousness of these promises reflects God's unchanging character and His faithfulness to His people.
