How do we know God has reconciled us?

Answered in 1 source

We know God has reconciled us through the testimony of scripture and the faith we have in Christ's accomplished work.

The certainty of our reconciliation with God is rooted in the assurance given by Scripture, particularly 2 Corinthians 5:19, which states that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people's sins against them. This divine act is not contingent upon human actions or decisions, allowing believers to rest assured in the completed work of Jesus. Moreover, personal experiences of grace and transformation serve as further evidence of this reconciliation, as believers become new creatures with renewed desires to live righteously.
