How do we know God has revealed Himself?

Answered in 1 source

We know God has revealed Himself through scripture and the person of Jesus Christ.

God has made Himself known to humanity through two primary means: general revelation and special revelation. General revelation occurs through nature and human conscience, as seen in Romans 1:19-20, where the invisible qualities of God are evident in creation. However, this general revelation is insufficient for salvation. Special revelation, on the other hand, is specifically revealed in the scriptures and through Jesus Christ, culminating in the ultimate revelation of God to man. Scripture claims to be the definitive record of God's special revelation, detailing His gracious saving purpose in Christ. This implies that understanding God and His will for salvation fundamentally relies on the revelations found in the Bible and the work of Christ.
