How do we know God has revealed Himself to us?

Answered in 1 source

God’s revelation often comes through His Word, where truths about Himself and His gospel are made clear, as indicated in Colossians 1:26.

We recognize God’s revelation through the clear truths presented in Scripture and the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 1:26 speaks of the mystery of God being revealed to His saints, indicating that spiritual truths are not inherently known to everyone but are understood by those chosen by God. This aligns with the understanding that true comprehension of God’s nature and His plans for salvation can only be grasped through divine revelation. Like Samuel, some may be in the right place—listening and attending to the Word—yet may not have fully realized God’s voice until that divine revelation occurs.
