How do we know God has the power to answer our prayers?

Answered in 1 source

God's omnipotence is the assurance that He has the power to fulfill His will and respond to our prayers.

God's power is a central theme in the conclusion of the Lord's Prayer, where it states that 'Thine is the power.' This communicates that God possesses the omnipotence necessary to enact His plans and purposes. Ephesians 1:19-20 speaks of His great power, which He exercised in Christ. Believers can place their confidence in prayer knowing that God not only has the authority but also the ability to intervene in our lives based on His divine decree. As Romans 8:31 states, 'If God be for us, who can be against us?' This assurance provides believers with the confidence that God hears and answers their prayers according to His perfect will.
