How do we know God has the right to rule?

Answered in 1 source

God has the right to rule by creation and by the purchase of His people through Christ's sacrifice.

God's right to rule is established through two main aspects: creation and redemption. Firstly, He created everything that exists, so it is rightfully His (John 1:1-3). Secondly, He has redeemed His people through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, giving Him the authority to rule over them. As revealed in Isaiah 53:10, it was God's will to bruise His Son, creating a means by which He could claim and govern His people. Additionally, Hebrews 10:10 underscores that Christ's sacrifice was sufficient to perfect those who are sanctified, affirming His right to rule over them eternally. God’s sovereignty as King is validated because He both created the world and purchased it with His blood.
