How do we know God heals the soul?

God's method of healing the soul is through the proclamation of His Word, as stated in Psalm 107:20. The healing is a spiritual one, occurring when the Holy Spirit illuminates the heart of a sinner, making them aware of their desperate condition and prompting them to cry out to God for help. This healing is promised to those who are foolish in their transgressions and who recognize their need for a Savior. When we recognize our spiritual illness and call on God in our distress, He is faithful to save us, as He sent His Son, Christ, who embodies the living Word that brings life and healing.
