How do we know God hears our cries in times of trouble?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that God hears the cries of the afflicted and saves them from their troubles.

Psalm 34:6 states, 'This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.' This verse encapsulates the gospel hope that in our desperation, when we cry out to God, He listens and acts. Additionally, Psalm 31:9 reinforces this by expressing a plea for mercy in trouble, demonstrating that God responds to those who seek Him earnestly. Throughout Scripture, we see God consistently delivering His people in their anguish, confirming His readiness to respond to the heartfelt cries of His children.
