How do we know God if He is unknown?

Answered in 1 source

We come to know God through Jesus Christ, who reveals the Father to us, as stated in John 14:9.

While the unknown God is worshipped ignorantly by many, the means to truly know Him is through revelation in Jesus Christ. In John 14:9, Jesus states, 'He who has seen me has seen the Father.' This means that by studying the life and teachings of Jesus, we can understand the character and will of God. Furthermore, through faith in Christ, believers are granted the understanding necessary to know God as He truly is, fulfilling the promise of eternal life as stated in 1 John 5:20. Therefore, to truly know God, one must look to Christ, who embodies the fullness of God's revelation to humanity.
