We know God initiates our salvation through biblical examples and teachings that show His proactive role in redeeming sinners.
The Bible provides clear examples of God's initiative in salvation. In John 4, we see Jesus, who represents God, intentionally going to Samaria to meet the Samaritan woman (John 4:4). This wasn't by chance; it was a divine appointment. Just as God reached out to Adam in the garden, He seeks out those who are lost. Furthermore, in Romans 3:11, it states that none seek God, underscoring the necessity for God to take the first step in salvation. The powerful message of the Gospel reinforces that it is through God's grace and His sovereign will that individuals are led to faith and repentance (Ephesians 2:8-9). Thus, God’s initiating work is foundational to the Christian understanding of salvation.
