How do we know God irresistibly calls His elect?

Answered in 1 source

God's irresistible call is evident in His sovereign choice to bring His elect to Himself.

The doctrine of irresistible grace illustrates that when God calls His elect, they will respond positively to that call. This is demonstrated in Jonah's story when, despite his initial rebellion, God pursued him with a storm and caused him to eventually fulfill his prophetic mission. God's intervention in Jonah’s life is a reflection of how He sovereignly guarantees that His chosen ones will hear and respond to His call. The Holy Spirit's work in regenerating hearts ensures that those called by God will come to Him, fulfilling His purpose and plan.
