How do we know God is able to help us in times of trouble?

Answered in 1 source

God's ability to help and comfort us is assured in Hebrews 2:18, where it states that He Himself was tempted and can provide aid.

In Hebrews 2:18, we read that 'For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succor them that are tempted.' This passage emphasizes that Christ experienced the full weight of human suffering and temptation, and because of this, He is qualified to offer help and comfort. Our Savior understands our struggles intimately, having faced them Himself. Thus, we can approach Him with confidence in times of need, knowing He is fully able to provide the support, guidance, and strength we require. His ability is not theoretical but practical, having been demonstrated through His incarnation and ministry on earth.
