How do we know God is able to save?

Answered in 4 sources

We know God is able to save because Scripture repeatedly affirms His power to redeem, as seen in Hebrews 7:25 and Matthew 9:27.

The assurance of God's ability to save is grounded in biblical promises and the character of God revealed through Scripture. In Hebrews 7:25, it states, 'Therefore He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him.' This underscores not only His ability but His willingness to save those who seek Him with faith. Furthermore, Jesus Himself affirmed His ability to heal and restore, asking the blind men in Matthew 9, 'Do you believe I am able to do this?' Their response, 'Yes, Lord,' reflects the essential faith required to witness God's redemptive power at work.

God's saving ability is rooted in His sovereignty and grace. He operates beyond our human comprehension and limitations, making it clear that no one is too far gone for redemption. Christ's finished work on the cross demonstrates that He is capable of paying the debt for our sins, providing a means by which we can be reconciled to God. Thus, every believer can rest assured in the truth that God is not only able but also eager to save those who come to Him in faith.
