How do we know God is absolutely sovereign?

Answered in 2 sources

We know God is absolutely sovereign through His declarations in Scripture and His control over all events (Isaiah 46:10, Romans 9:16).

God's sovereignty is evident in both the Old and New Testaments, where He declares His authority over all creation and history. Isaiah 46:10 proclaims, 'I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.' This assures us that God's plans will indeed come to pass. Additionally, Romans 9:16 states that it is not dependent on human will or effort, but on God's mercy alone. This reinforces the truth that God's decisions and actions are ultimately unassailable and that He governs the universe according to His purpose and will.
