How do we know God is actually in control?

God's sovereignty is evident through His consistent control over all actions, including those of adversaries, as seen in Job 1.

The assurance of God's control can be traced throughout Scripture, notably in the book of Job, where Satan must seek God's permission to impact Job's life. For example, in Job 1:12, the Lord says to Satan, 'Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand.' This illustrates that even the actions of adversaries fall under His sovereign oversight. God is depicted as the ultimate authority, delineating He holds control over all matters, whether they appear beneficial or detrimental.
