How do we know God is good during suffering?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture assures us that God is good and does all things well, even when we suffer.

The assurance of God’s goodness is woven throughout Scripture, particularly in verses like Genesis 18:25, which states that the Judge of all the earth will do right. Furthermore, in Jeremiah 29:11, God declares He has plans for us that are good, not evil. This profound truth reminds believers that, despite our suffering, we can trust God's perfect plan and character. When trials arise, we must remember that God's purpose is ultimately for our good and that no evil can thwart His sovereign will.
